On a tough-scoring day,China's most celebrated golfer Zhang Lianwei earned the loudest cheers when he nailed a 25-foot birdie on the final hole to share the half-way lead with Holland's Robert-Jan Derksen at five -under-par.

Zhang cared a three-under-68 to match Derksen's score and was the only player not to drop a bogey.

"It was a perfect finish," Said Zhang who has one European Tour and four Asian Tour to his resume."Before I teed off,Ithought even par would be a good target. It was tough and few players were able to shoot under par today."
